Shopping | My Melbourne interior haunts

When it comes to shopping for furniture and decorative items there is no shortage of beautiful interiors stores in Melbourne. Here is a round up of a few of my favourites...

Douglas and Bec, Collingwood. Beautiful hand made furniture and lighting and an enviable collection of ceramics and decorative pieces.

When buying interior pieces for my home I love to try and find special one off things, or interesting objects that tell a story and start a conversation. It's nice to know the special pieces you buy aren't going to be seen everywhere and if you stick to the rule of buying what you love, not what's on trend, you'll have a really special home that represents your personal style.

These are some of my favourite stores that I visit when I am designing a client's home, or styling a commercial project. Print this list out and go shopping!

Weylandts, Abbotsford . An eclectic and interesting mix of statement furniture pieces, textural throws and stunning decorative objects originating from South Africa.

Modern Times, Fitzroy. Mid century furniture, a beautiful and large artwork collection and unique hand made ceramic and decorative pieces.

Jardan, Richmond. I think I'm in this store every second day. Their relaxed, contemporary furniture is stuff dreams are made of and they have the best collection of coffee table books in Melbourne!

Pop and Scott, Northcote. I love visiting Pop and Scott for their hand made ceramic one off pieces from a collection of local ceramicists and artists. Their furniture is all made on site at their workshop adjoining the showroom.
