Feast Watson | Timber Edit 2016

Feast Watson | Timber Edit 2016

One of my favourite materials to design with is natural timber, so I was thrilled to be a part of the Feast Watson 'Timber Edit' 2016, where I was tasked with bringing the trend 'Raw and True' to life...

Natural timber is the hero in this warm, texural living space. Freddy Sofa Huset , Seb chair, Stanley stool and Alby ottoman Jardan , Egg cup stool Mark Tuckey , Como marble coffee table Globe West , Floor rug Halcyon Lake , Smith leather sling chair Barnaby Lane and ceramics by Bridget Bodneham and Marmouset Found . Dream weaver pendant light Pop and Scott , cushions We Are Pampa along with flame throw also by Tribe and Co .

Timber in it's rawest form exudes true beauty and is a timeless staple in the ever changing world of interiors. It's ever present warmth brings a cosy and welcoming ambiance to a sleek and modern interior and adds character to any space. Raw timbers tell the story of their life and age gracefully as each piece has unique character, features and imperfections. The Feast Watson 'Raw and True' theme celebrates this natural beauty of timber and shows us how we can incorporate timbers into both our indoor and outdoor spaces.

Bringing this trend to life was easy with beautiful pieces from Mark Tuckey, Jardan, House of Orange, Pop and Scott, Huset and Halcyon Lake. A touch of Australiana was introduced to compliment the theme with ceramics by Marmouset Found, Studio Twocan and Bridget Bodenham and a limited edition print titled 'The Alchemist' by Carla Fletcher. The outdoor deck was brought back to life with Feast Waston's European Oak decking oil and and a cosy outdoor oasis was created with chunky throws and cushions from Tribe and Co , and amazing pieces of timber furniture from Mark Tuckey . A green chandelier created by the talented Leila Sanderson cascaded over the tranquil space.

A vertical garden was installed and a custom frame made was created and stained with Feast Watson's Scandinavian oil . A hanging chair from the House of Orange just said SIT ON ME!

Australian natives, king proteas and gum foliage added a pretty feel to the space and complimented the raw and true theme.
