Studio Gallery Melbourne x Kerry Armstrong Art

Studio Gallery Melbourne x Kerry Armstrong Art

It's an exciting day when one of my favourite artists launches a new arm to their business, and anyone that knows Melbourne artist Kerry Armstrong will know that she is one little creative powerhouse! In between her sell out solo exhibitions, she's been busy setting up and curating a unique art offering called Studio Gallery Melbourne.

Studio Gallery Melbourne is an Art Practice specialising in the production of museum grade, archival quality Limited Edition Artworks and an exclusive Art Leasing service of both originals and prints for short and long term periods. The practice works closely with the Design Industry as well as directly with the public - so art lovers far and wide rejoice! Read on to hear about this exciting art offering and make sure you enter our giveaway to WIN your very own piece of art by Kerry Armstrong...

Before jumping headlong into her life as a full time Artist, Kerry Armstrong had lead a successful corporate career which has held her in great stead in the lead up to launching her newest art venture - Studio Gallery Melbourne. Kerry can now flip from her beloved Art Studio straight back into the business world, she just has a more relaxed paint splattered corporate wardrobe these days! (so accidentally on trendโ€ฆ.)

Whilst having the skills and hard wiring for commercial reality, every single aspect of Kerry's Art Practice has grown organically, ethically and sequentially - and always for the right reasons. As time went on and as demand for her works widened she wanted to produce her own prints in-house in order to shorten the time between creating an original piece and then working on translating this to a print. But even her limited edition prints will be special pieces with very small print runs ensuring each piece, not over exposed and remains unique for her clients.

"Sometimes the most beautiful artistic discoveries have come about from working with the digital platform" says Kerry.  "We invested in our very own print studio, then the investment and learning journey began all over again. We then took on two absolutely amazing members of our Team, Tania Savage and Lauren Elyse.  Between these two, no stone was left unturned which required heavy duty mentoring, adopting best practice methodology and purchasing world class software and equipment from industry experts.  We absolutely love producing incredible high quality art works and nothing is more exciting than seeing works framed beautifully then hung in our clients homes" says Kerry.

The Ethos behind everything at Kerry Armstrong Art and Studio Gallery Melbourne is based heavily on Artistic authenticity, Integrity of process, and absolutely magnificent materials. Having used some of Kerry's limited edition prints on Italian linen in some of my recent styling projects, I can vouch for their incredible detail and supreme quality.

Kerry has reached out to some amazing artists who have joined the SGM Team and there's many more to come. "We see our customer as Art curious, passionate and at various stages of their own journey towards understanding and collecting art that they not only love but considering art that is collectible and potentially a wise investment" says Kerry. And if launching her print business wasn't enough, she's also designed an iphone App that allows you to take a photo of your space and try her prints right on the walls of your very own home!!! You can download the app from the App Store - just search "Studio Gallery Melbourne" and get trying out some new art!
